Nara and the world heritage temple

Another beautiful day. Trained from Kyoto to Nara and enjoyed a 12 km ramble through this old city. The largest statue of Buddha resides here as do Shinto shrines and gardens of immense serenity. Hugged a 1000 year old Cypress tree -a truly spiritual experience. Visited a Pottery museum with 1000 year old perfectly preserved pieces and saw the ubiquitous sacred deer roaming through the streets.
a quiet night in to pack and reflect after a wonderful day
