Kumano Kodo Final day.

Beautiful weather for our last 7 km walk. We seemed to meander up a long path and suddenly our guide took us into a small clearing with log beds in amongst the trees and invited us to have a forest bath. This was truly my best experience on the trip to date.
We lunched at a wayside inn on a picnic we brought with us.
We then descended to the final shrine and the tallest entrance ever. What a great way to farewell this pilgrimage.
We had an outside onsen this evening. Pure bliss sitting in a mineral pool on the banks of the river. Heavenly.
The night ended with another gourmet meal. Perfect!
