What a privilege to walk in the forest with an expert guide. This forest is new - the whole area was a banana plantation until about 60 years ago and the current owners have been managing the property for about 18 years. Gained insights into how to help repair erosion, what and how to plant companion species and to do nothing from time to time.
We have started learning about patterns in nature and how to use them when planting food forests and herb gardens. My personal favourite is the chicken tractor. The food here is amazing - mostly vegan but we all had an egg this evening - it was so delicious - non vegetarians have been hanging out for a bit of animal protein,
We drove into Cooma to the Bunya festival but we were a bit later to sample the delights. We heard a lovely trio playing gentle music which soothed our trip home. It is very hot and humid which makes everything a bit sluggish.
