We are in the middle of the course and we have a rest day which I think we all needed.
We did go herb shopping in the garden today and returned with herbs and chilies which we brewed for tea and used in a pesto with bunya nuts.
I then walked barefoot through our little forest and back along the swale we built yesterday and it was working as planned - water flowing and then finding the level and slowly sinking into the ground below to be stored. Slow it, spread it, sink it - 1st principle of managing water.
We drove into the town of Pomona again for lunch and a little look around a very pretty place. It is so green and lush and very different from the landscape around Melbourne when I left.
It also started to rain last night and we have gone from 34 degrees and very humid to 20 degrees and wet and a bit humid overnight. The rain has settled in and the poor girls in their tents - I am sure I will have company in my little room tonight as they get flooded out. We lit a fire in the dining room it was so cold and then I tripped the switches when I put my heater on to dry my hair!!! My bad.
But the most interesting experience today was my full body Hawaiian massage with Ayurvedic oils. - enough said but I am a lot more bendy and stretchy than I was before. Lying on a massage table in a gazebo in the forest with the rain pouring down was quite an experience.
We are all weary this evening and everyone has traipsed off to bed in the rain. No photos yet as I cant get them to load today.
