Crow Castle

We left Tokyo on a bright, sunny morning and trained to Matsumoto passing through the busiest transport hub in the world and passing by Mt Fuji in the far distance.
Finally seeing open country with the autumn colours was wonderful. Our afternoon was spent exploring this lovely town and the centuries old castle. Tony made it all the way to the top up and down very steep and uneven wooden stairs in socks. No shoes allowed.
We had dinner in a little restaurant where I had the best grilled sardine ever having thought I was having salmon. Google translator still has some way to go. Another beautiful day made even more glorious by the lunar eclipse and red moon rising in a crisp clear sky.
