A quieter day today.  Greeted by a final view of our mountain on another summer’s day.  Breakfast included a novel fresh butter experience - you press a button and a fresh puck of butter lands on your plate - who knew breakfast could be such fun.  A 2 hour train ride on the Golden Pass scenic railway to Montreux.  Scenery stunning and the constant climbing up was amazing.

we had an 800m walk to our hotel.  Lovely downhill.  The return trip lugging our cases means we don’t need a gym workout for another daY.  @Hotel Eden Palace Du Lac was another site to behold.  On the lake with the promenade out front - a gracious place to spend a night.  Our room had a note that advised we could purchase the rug on the bed - a first for me!  Needless to day I declined but it was beautiful. We had to request tea and coffee facilities - also a first.

The view of the mountains and Lake Geneva were splendid and the vibe on the promenade was holidayesque - warm and welcoming.

We walked the 6km round trip to the Chateu Chillon - a 12th Century Castle that has been thoughtfully restored.  The battlements and dining halls were enormous - the long drop was very long!!!

We enjoyed an elegant meal @La Brasserie J5.  Baked Cod and Mediterranean Vegetables for me and Prawn and Zucchini Linguini for Tony - delicious. I left my new sunglasses there - just as well I didn't buy the Prada  ones I love!!  A comfy bed and the end of another day in Switzeraland.
