Another day of glorious rail travel from St Moritz to Torino - a UNESCO listed railway that is truly breathtaking as it curves its way down the mountain.

We had a three hour stop in Torino waiting for a bus to take us to Lugano as the trains are not running for a while.  A quiet warm town with delicious gelato.

The bus journey was three hours - not very far but very hilly and winding up and down into Lugano - all the way along the edge of Lake Como.

A quick suburban train trip to Milan - full of happy locals going home after a weekend spent at the lake.  Our first Air BNB accommodation - perfect - close to the station and Comfy. Enjoyed a Japanese meal after a long day - I know right - should have been Italian but it was close!!!
