I had a solo journey to the Medici Chapel and the market this morning as Tony was still not well. I felt quite adventurous with my trusty map and clear skies. The walk was marvellous and seeing what the Medici money could buy was amazing.
The market was another matter - the sublime to the ridiculous - like the Queen Vic market on steroids.
Tony joined me for an afternoon visit to the PittI Palace - and yes dear reader my neck is sore - the painted ceilings were astounding - room after room after room. Just when I thought I might need to start exercising we found a hundred stairs to climb.
We finished the day with a meal at a seafood restaurant 50 metres from our apartment. Bellissimo!
